CRACK is an encryption algorithm developed in response to efforts by the US government to limit export of encryption software. CRACK is designed to be suitable for both low-cost, low-speed mobile computing devices, and also for high-performance computing systems. It differs from DES in that it does not use a 64 bit block size, but instead sends messages across 64 byte blocks. #1: Introduction CRACK RSA provides hardware accelerated encryption and decryption with very fast throughput speeds for customers that leverage its unique data path design on PCI or PCI Express based systems. CRACK RSA provides hardware accelerated encryption and decryption with very fast throughput speeds for customers that leverage its unique data path design on PCI or PCI Express based systems. Unlike competing solutions, CRACK RSA is designed to be suitable for both low-cost, low-speed mobile computing devices, and also for high performance computing systems. #2: The CRACK Architecture The CRACK architecture is comprised of multiple layers of processing including the hardware block cipher, the hardware look up table (LUT), and the microcode. The LUT is a hash table that maps variable length keys to fixed size (256) results. The microcode handles the variable length key processing. The design allows for 32 bit wide keys which can use variable length keys between 10 and 63 bytes or specialised hashing techniques like MD4/MD5 to allow 64 bit wide keys with 64 byte blocks. All operations can be processed using 64bit arithmetic which allows for very high throughput. #3: Features CRACK RSA provides hardware accelerated encryption and decryption with very fast throughput speeds for customers that leverage its unique data path design on PCI or PCI Express based systems. The CRACK algorithm is patented by Agilent Technologies, Inc. It is protected by US patent 6,607,721.The Agilent Technologies marketing presentation "AMPLIFIED CRYPTOGRAPHY" also mentions an ElGamal type variant of CRACK RSA ("ElGamal-CRACK"), but this was not included in the patents. The U.S. government has, as part of the Wassenaar Arrangement (12 members including US and Europe and 40 others) and under domestic laws such as the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), limited the export of encryption software containing key lengths longer than 40 bits to "cryptographic-implementors" (i.e., those who implement cryptography as a profession). Public-domain or open-source implementations as such are free to use any key length, thereby making them unavailable for export outside the United States. Cryptocurrencies, such as Bitcoin, are limited by technical means, such as the size of the block chain and the requirement to preannounce hash functions. The potential for encryption with key lengths longer than 40 bits has been discussed for many years within the crypto community, but has been largely ignored due to these restrictions. The CRACK algorithm now enables those who want to secure a large volume of funds using symmetric-key cryptography to do so.CRACK is a triple DES variant allowing for 64 bit keys and 64 byte blocks. cfa1e77820
